Heather graduated from Winthrop University in 2012. She joined the Plains Veterinary Hospital team in September of 2020. Heather has always had a passion for animals and cares for many of her own. She has cats, dogs, rats, and many reptiles. She also keeps chickens, quail, ducks, pigs, and honeybees on her farm.
Presley D.
Head Veterinary Technician
Presley graduated from Integrity Prep Homeschool in May of 2022 and started working at Plains in August of 2022. She wants to go into a career of horse training. She is the middle child of 7 kids and lives with them and her many Pets: 3 Cats, 9 Dogs, 2 Quarter Horses, 3 Miniature Donkeys, 2 Goats, 6 Ducks, 10+ Chickens, And 6 Kunekune Pigs.
Jadyn B.
Veterinary Technician
Jadyn graduated from Woodlawn High School in May of 2022 and started working at Plains Veterinary Hospital in January of 2023. She’s currently enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College and is pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine. She resides in Baton Rouge with her two dogs, Kai and Tallulah, and two cats, Peach and Mango.

Veterinary Technician
Jade graduated from Brusly high school in May of 2021. She joined the Plains Veterinary Hospital team in August of 2025. Jade has always had a big passion for helping and caring for animals. She has volunteered for a zoo for over a year caring for many different species and is thrilled to work in her dream career field. She resides in Baton Rouge with her 2 cats, Raya and Copper, and her reptiles.
Alissa E.
Kennel Manager
Alissa graduated from Zachary High School in May of 2022 and started working at Plains Veterinary Hospital in May of 2024. Alissa has been in the veterinary field since 2021 and is currently our highly valued Kennel Manager. She has 5 dogs named Jaxx, Zuko, Artemis, Dutton, and Atlas. She has one cat named Orion. She volunteers with Dante’s Hope and has a huge passion for animals.
Alaishia J.
Kennel Technician
Alaishia graduated from Zachary High School in May 2024 and began working at Plains Veterinary Hospital in November 2023. She is passionate about veterinary medicine, currently pursuing a pre-vet major with aspirations of advancing further in the field. Outside of her studies and work, Alaishia is a devoted pet owner to two cats, Lettuce and Buttercup, and three dogs, Ladybug, Tiana, and Evangeline.
Hayden M.
Kennel Technician
Hayden, currently a senior at Zachary High School as of 2026, started working at Plains Veterinary Hospital in October 2025. He plans to study veterinary medicine later in college, and he currently lives with his four cats, Layla, Lincoln, Macy, and Mia, as well as two dogs, Gus and Hank.
